Leeds United are reportedly closing in on a move for Wales star Harry Wilson, following positive talks with the player's representatives. The Athletic claims the club and Wilson's camp are working to find an agreement to bring him to Elland Road.
Contract situation and competition
The 29-year-old winger is out of contract at Fulham this summer and will become a free agent on July 1. Leeds are now favourites with bookmakers to land the former Liverpool man, but Everton and Aston Villa have also held talks with Wilson's representatives. Wilson scored 10 Premier League goals for Fulham last season and has become a key player for Wales under Craig Bellamy.
Leeds' Welsh contingent
If Wilson signs, he would join international teammates Daniel James and Joe Rodon at Leeds. Goalkeeper Karl Darlow is also out of contract, while Ethan Ampadu, Leeds captain since 2024, has been promoting the club within the Wales camp. Ampadu said: "It’s a pretty easy sell. Everyone knows how special a place Leeds is. But whenever we get asked how our time is at Leeds, when we’re with Wales, we speak about it so glowingly."
Fulham changes
Fulham have offered Wilson a new deal, but no agreement has been reached. With manager Marco Silva already leaving this summer, Wilson is likely to follow him out of Craven Cottage.
