Jupiter Artland Sculpture Park to Open Year-Round for First Time

Jupiter Artland, a contemporary sculpture garden near Edinburgh, has announced it will remain open year-round for the first time since its founding in 2009. The decision follows growing demand from visitors who were previously unable to access the park during autumn and winter months.

Set across 120 acres of meadow, woodland and gallery space, the park features over 30 permanent works by artists including Tracey Emin, Phyllida Barlow and Christian Boltanski. From November 2025 to February 2026, it will be open Thursday to Sunday, with a new programme of exhibitions, events and immersive experiences.

The autumn/winter season launches on Saturday, 11 October, with three major exhibitions from artists Tai Shani, Georg Wilson and Florence Peake. Founder and director Nicky Wilson said: 'Keeping Jupiter Artland open across the winter is a special new moment in our programme, which will afford visitors an entirely new type of experience on site.'

Seasonal activities will include curated dinners every Saturday evening at Cafe Party, family afternoons with hot chocolates, fire pits, smores and roasted chestnuts, as well as workshops. Visitors can also book sessions at Joana Vasconcelos’ Gateway, a nine-metre swimming pool integrated into an artwork, available until the end of October.

Since opening, Jupiter Artland has gained an international reputation and was nominated for Art Fund’s Museum of the Year in 2016.
