Dolly Parton has announced a significant expansion of her Dollywood theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, with new attractions and accommodations planned to open by 2028.

New Rides and Water Park

The expansion will introduce several new rides, including a launched roller coaster and a family-friendly dark ride, as well as a new water park area. The water park will feature a wave pool and a lazy river, designed to appeal to visitors of all ages.

Resort and Additional Amenities

Plans also include a new resort with over 300 rooms, a spa, and multiple dining options. Parton described the expansion as a way to enhance the guest experience and celebrate the park's heritage.

The project is expected to create around 500 jobs during construction and more than 1,000 permanent positions once fully operational. Parton said, "I've always wanted to give our guests more reasons to smile, and this expansion will do just that."
