Dolly Parton is entering the highway pit stop market with a new Tennessee travel centre, offering a mix of BBQ, coffee, and exclusive merchandise. Dolly's Tennessean Travel Stop is set to open on June 24 in Cornersville, about an hour south of Nashville off Interstate 65.
The travel stop features DLY BBQ, Dolly's Cup of Ambition Coffee, and a full-service sit-down restaurant and café, distinguishing it from typical fuel stops. It also includes standard fuel pumps, electric vehicle charging stations, a dog park called Doggy Parton, an upstairs event space, and a stage for live music.
Fans can view an original mural commissioned for Cornersville and a replica of Parton's tour bus. Parton stated that her years on the road gave her insight into what travellers desire, aiming to make the stop feel like home.
This flagship location may expand into multiple Parton-themed travel stops across the country. The venture enters a competitive market with Buc-ee's, which has been expanding in Tennessee with locations in Crossville and Sevierville, and plans for Murfreesboro and Gallaway by 2027.
