Chessington's Paw Patrol Land Set to Open This Sunday

Chessington World of Adventures will officially open the UK's first Paw Patrol-themed land on Sunday 3 May, just in time for the bank holiday weekend. The £15 million development is designed for pre-schoolers and aims to bring Adventure Bay to life with four gentle rides, including a first rollercoaster, plus interactive play areas and character meet-and-greets.

The new land marks a major investment for the Surrey theme park, positioning it as a direct rival to established family favourites such as Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park and Thomas Land at Drayton Manor Resort. Attractions include Rubble and Rocky's construction-themed play area and the Flounder Boat Play Zone, where children can join Captain Turbot on a high-seas adventure.

Tickets are available to pre-book online, with savings of up to 48 per cent compared with paying at the gate. Prices currently start from £34, and early booking is recommended due to expected demand over the opening weekend and following weeks.

Ahead of the launch, four-year-old Hallie Sawyer from Southampton was named the first “pawject manager” after winning a competition with more than 2,000 entries. TV personality Dani Dyer also visited with her three children and six assistance dogs and their families to explore the land and celebrate the vital role of assistance dog charities.

Alongside the rides and play spaces, families can enjoy themed food, drink and retail outlets, as well as scheduled character appearances throughout the day. The on-site Chessington Safari Hotel has also introduced five Paw Patrol-themed rooms, featuring bunk beds styled like the Paw Patroller vehicle, a periscope with panoramic views, and a control panel inspired by the lookout tower. Guests staying in these rooms receive early ride access, a 'pup pass' meet-and-greet fast-track pass, and a 'reserve and ride' one-shot pass.
