Burger King has confirmed a major change at 10 UK restaurants to coincide with the World Cup, which kicks off today. The fast food chain will designate Scran Zones for England's first match, allowing fans to dine together late into the evening on Wednesday, June 17.
England's opening game against Croatia kicks off at 9pm, and fans will be able to gather at participating restaurants in England, including Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, London, and Glasgow, Scotland. Thomas Tuchel must still decide whether he will use Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham or Morgan Rogers of Aston Villa in England's number 10 role when the stakes are at their highest this month.
Burger King UK will also launch a new menu offer this summer to coincide with the international games, called Burger Buddies. Available nationwide, it includes snackable sizes of three favourite flame-grilled burgers, in a box of three or nine. Each box will include a smaller size of the Whopper, Big King, and BBQ Steakhouse burgers. The smaller boxes will be sold for less than £10.
There will also be a huge 97-item Burger Buddies feast for 15 people to share, aimed at football watch parties. This includes 45 snackable burgers, eight Large Fries, 10 Chicken Fries, 10 Chicken Nuggets, 10 Chilli Cheese Bites, 10 Onion Rings, and four dip pots.
