British Man Dies After Tenerife Balcony Fall

A British man has died after falling from a hotel balcony in Tenerife. The incident occurred at a hotel complex on Bruselas Avenue in Playa de las Americas at around 3am on Thursday.

The victim, identified only by his initials G.R., was 43 years old. Police stated he was alone at the time of the fall, and the incident remains under investigation.

Emergency services responded to the scene, but the man died from the severity of his injuries. A spokesman said: 'We received a call just after 3am alerting us to the fact a man had fallen from the second floor and was injured. However, the victim died at the scene.'

The Foreign Office confirmed it is providing support to the family of the deceased. A spokesman said: 'We are providing support to the family of a British national following their death in Tenerife on January 21.'
