A British tourist has been arrested after allegedly stabbing a friend to death during a holiday in Magaluf, Spain, according to local reports. The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday morning on the popular party strip, known for its vibrant nightlife.
The victim, a 25-year-old man from the UK, was found with multiple stab wounds and pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect, also a British tourist in his 20s, was detained by Spanish police shortly after the attack. Authorities have not yet released the names of those involved.
Witnesses reported a heated argument between the two men outside a nightclub before the stabbing took place. Emergency services were called, but the victim could not be saved. The suspect is expected to appear in court in Mallorca in the coming days.
The British Foreign Office has confirmed it is providing consular support to the families of both men. Magaluf, once a hotspot for British tourists, has seen a decline in popularity in recent years, but remains a destination for young holidaymakers seeking nightlife.
