An American woman has ignited fury among Britons by giving low scores to beloved national dishes, including the Sunday roast and Full English breakfast. Ashleigh, who posts on TikTok as @rctaashleigh, rated the Sunday roast a mere 4 out of 10, criticising its 'look and texture' and claiming the portion was too large.
The Full English breakfast fared even worse, receiving a 2 out of 10. Ashleigh described it as 'so bland and beige' and questioned where the colour was. Scones with cream and jam scored a slightly better 6, but she admitted she was more accustomed to eating them with gravy.
Fish and chips was also given a 4, with Ashleigh noting it was 'so beige again' and that the fish 'doesn't look very nutritional'. However, her harshest verdict was reserved for beans on toast, which she rated minus nine, stating: 'You couldn't pay me to eat this.'
The post, which has garnered over 59,000 likes, left British TikTok users stunned. One commented: 'Narrrr all that food is banging,' while another said: 'Sunday dinner 4/10? Ok, well that’s just wrong.' A third user added: 'Scones and gravy is diabolical and never disrespect a roast or full English.'
