Quotes from Wizz Air and London Luton Airport

Yvonne Moynihan, Managing Director at Wizz Air UK, said: "Spain has always been one of the UK's favourite holiday destinations, and we're excited to be expanding our Spanish network with three more fantastic routes from London Luton Airport."

She added: "Whether customers are planning a beach break on the Costa del Sol, a cultural escape to Granada, or looking to discover the stunning landscapes of Asturias, we're making it even easier for our customers to enjoy more of Spain, for less. With fares starting from just £17.99, all that's left to decide is whether you're heading for the beach, the mountains or the tapas."

Simon Harley, Interim Aviation Director at London Luton Airport, commented: "It's really exciting to see Wizz Air expanding its route network from London Luton Airport yet again. The addition of Málaga, Granada and Asturias to our departure boards means even more choice for passengers and follows the hugely successful launch of Wizz services to Bilbao, Barcelona and Seville earlier this year."

Destination Highlights

Málaga, a key city on the Costa del Sol, is known for its golden beaches, warm weather, and waterfront. It is the birthplace of Pablo Picasso and features attractions such as the 11th-century Alcazaba fortress, the Roman Theatre, and the Picasso Museum. Day trips to the Caminito del Rey walkway are also popular.

Granada is famous for the Alhambra, a sprawling palace and fortress complex that draws global visitors. The historic Albaicín district offers narrow cobbled streets and whitewashed houses. Granada is also one of the few Spanish cities where many bars still serve free tapas with drinks.

Asturias provides a contrasting experience with green mountains, a beautiful coastline, and quieter holidays away from busy resorts. Wizz Air will use Asturias Airport, located between Oviedo and Gijón. Visitors can explore Oviedo's historic centre, the Picos de Europa National Park, or sample the region's cider and traditional Fabada Asturiana bean stew.
