A UK travel company that has operated for 22 years has entered liquidation. Yourtravelshop.com Ltd, based in Ilford, organised thousands of pilgrimages worldwide, including Hajj, Umrah, and Ziyarat journeys, for over 35 years according to its website. The company officially operated since 2004, as per Companies House.
Liquidators appointed
On July 21, liquidators were appointed as the company was wound up voluntarily. Donald Harper and Andrew Maak of The Insolvency Practice Limited were declared joint liquidators at a meeting. The company's website no longer displays any additional planned trips, and it remains unclear whether customers will have their journeys cancelled.
Financial details and other travel agency closures
The company ran sacred journeys in Islam, with prices ranging from £1,200 to £1,875. The last statement on Companies House was dated October 19, 2025. Yourtravelshop.com Ltd's liquidation follows several other travel agencies failing this year. Strachan Travel Ltd entered voluntary liquidation in June after over 40 years in Lancashire, with winding-up resolutions on June 11 and liquidators appointed on June 16. Groupia Ltd and its subsidiaries, including StagWeb and GoHen, also formally entered administration on June 16, halting all new bookings.
