The Little B, a pub on Marsland Road in Sale, Trafford, has become a standout destination with its two outdoor spaces, permanent Greek street food kitchen, and a lineup of events that draw crowds from across Greater Manchester. Famous faces including Robbie Williams, Tommy Fury, and the late snooker legend Alex Higgins have all stopped by for a pint, according to general manager John.
Refurbished Spaces and Historical Roots
Last summer, the pub underwent a six-figure refurbishment, introducing bold colors, glowing neon, and abundant plant life. The name 'Little B' dates back to 1908, when local hotelier Sam Brookes ran a larger establishment called the Big B (now offices) and a smaller guesthouse that became the pub. Inside, pool tables, dart boards, and big screens for sports matches create a lively atmosphere, but the beer garden remains the main draw during warm weather.
Greek Street Food Takeover
Earlier this year, The Little B partnered with Laros, a Greek street food brand already popular in Liverpool, for a permanent kitchen takeover—their first in Greater Manchester. Laros serves gyros wraps, souvlaki skewer boxes, loaded hot boxes, fresh Greek salads, and vegan options from 12pm to 10pm daily. Signature dishes include The Laros Burger (beef patty with feta and sriracha mayo), Grilled Chicken with honey mayo mustard sauce, and Fried Talagani Cheese Burger with sriracha mayo.
Events and Community Hub
Throughout the week, The Little B hosts quiz nights, live music, and community group gatherings. In April, it held its own festival featuring live music and guest pints. Customers on TripAdvisor describe it as 'lovely,' 'brilliant,' and an 'excellent' venue for gatherings. The pub is located at 195 Marsland Rd, Sale M33 3ND.
