Stupid Good Pizza, a North East pizza chain celebrated for its New York-style thin and crispy slices, is set to open a new branch on Chillingham Road in Heaton, Newcastle. The founders, Jay and Jamie, announced the move on Instagram, stating, 'Opening a store in Newcastle has been a dream of ours for a long time, and we genuinely can’t wait to bring Stupid Good to one of the best food spots in the North East.'
From Hartlepool to Heaton
Having already built a loyal following in Hartlepool and Stockton, the 'New York pizza enthusiasts' are expanding to Tyneside. Their long-term plan, they say, is to get their pizzas to 'as many people as possible.' The new location on Chillingham Road places them among a growing cluster of popular food and drink venues.
Heaton's Foodie Hotspot
Chillingham Road has become a destination for food lovers, with businesses like Nest, The New Greek, Handsome Sandwich, and Eatflix – the North East's first 5D cinema – drawing crowds. Stupid Good Pizza fits into this vibrant scene, and the founders expressed excitement about joining the community.
Earlier this year, ChronicleLive reported the chain's intention to open in Newcastle, sparking speculation about the exact location. The choice of Chillingham Road confirms it as one of the Toon's 'hottest postcodes' for dining and nightlife.
