Convertible cars have hit a 25-year low in the UK, with just 16 new models available across major manufacturers, according to a new study. Data from CarGurus UK shows only 12,173 new convertibles were registered in 2024, a dramatic fall from 94,484 in 2004. The rise of SUVs is blamed for the decline, as drivers favour bulkier vehicles.
We want to hear from people who own or have owned a convertible. What are your best and worst memories? Did you take any memorable road trips, and where did you most enjoy driving?
One of cinema's most iconic convertibles is the 1966 Ford Thunderbird from Thelma & Louise. Share your own stories and photos with us.
