Ryde Studio, a new high-energy indoor cycling concept, has opened at 89 Victoria Street, Liverpool, following a £500,000 investment. The venue aims to carve out a place in the city's competitive fitness scene, offering a premium experience that blends music, lighting, and choreography.
Founded by CEO Kyle Harris, Ryde already attracts around 1,500 riders weekly across its other UK studios. The Liverpool location houses 40 premium bikes in a basement venue, with UV lighting and curated playlists. Upon arrival, guests are handed specialist cycling shoes that clip into pedals, improving power transfer and preventing foot slippage—a unique feature that caught one reviewer off guard.
Class Experience and Pricing
The 45-minute class, themed Boybands vs Girlbands, featured tracks from Take That, JLS, The Saturdays, Sugababes, and Girls Aloud. The instructor guided riders through climbs, sprints, and recovery periods, maintaining high energy. The reviewer noted that the time flew by compared to standard spin classes, though the style may not appeal to everyone.
Classes cost between £16 and £19, with class packs reducing the per-session cost to £11-£15. New customers can often access introductory offers, such as three classes for £15. This pricing aligns with other boutique fitness studios in Liverpool. Facilities include showers, complimentary towels, and an on-site wellness café.
Additional Offerings and First Impressions
Beyond cycling, Ryde offers Flow, Barre, Move, and Pilates classes. The reviewer found the atmosphere and coaching justify the premium cost, describing the workout as enjoyable and likely to encourage repeat visits. The venue is located at Old Haymarket, 89 Victoria Street, L1 6ER.
