Rudy's Pizza to Open in Former Monton Furniture Shop After Four Years Vacant
Rudy's Pizza Opens in Monton After Four Years Vacant

Rudy's, the beloved Neapolitan pizzeria chain, has announced it will open its 41st restaurant in Monton Village, Salford, taking over the former Bennetts Furnishers store that has been vacant since 2022. The new venue, located at 237-239 Monton Road, is set to launch this autumn.

Expansion into Salford

Founded 11 years ago in Ancoats, Rudy's has grown to 40 restaurants across Greater Manchester, Sheffield, and London. The Monton site will be its first in Salford. Owner Neal Bates said: 'Our very first pizzeria opened in Ancoats back in 2015, so we’re excited to finally be opening our doors in our neighbouring city Salford. Monton has such a vibrant high street and an amazing food and drink scene, so it feels like the perfect place for us.'

Recognition and Quality

Rudy's has earned a reputation for its Neapolitan pizzas, ranking 23rd in the World’s 50 Best Pizzeria list last year. It is also the largest organisation accredited by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN), which protects traditional Neapolitan pizza making.

The restaurant is also hiring for full and part-time roles, with recruitment days planned closer to the opening. Interested applicants can send their CV to careers@rudyspizza.co.uk.
