British technology firm Nothing has announced its most premium headphones to date, the Headphone (1) Pro, priced at £349. The new cans take aim at rivals including Bose, Sony and Apple, following the company's earlier Headphone (1) and more wallet-friendly Headphone (a) models.
Triple driver design and studio tuning
Tucked inside the unique transparent design is a triple driver architecture that works together to unlock deeper bass, textured vocals and richer instruments. The Headphone (1) Pro has been tested and tuned by internationally acclaimed experts at Metropolis Studios.
Owners can choose between preset EQ settings or adjust the sound to match their preferences. Advanced Active Noise Cancellation is included to block out annoying background noise, and improved cushions create a stronger sound seal around the ear.
Controls, connectivity and battery life
The Nothing X app adds more precise controls and improved ways to tweak sound settings. The Headphone (1) Pro also supports Hi-Res wireless and wired playback via USB-C for lossless, high-fidelity audio.
Designed to survive life on the road, Nothing says it has introduced a more balanced structure that helps distribute weight evenly. An adaptive fit provides lasting comfort, and the (1) Pro lasts for 68 hours on a single charge, with fast charging included for when they run flat.
Price and availability
The Headphone (1) Pro is priced at £349 and will be available on nothing.tech, Amazon, John Lewis, Argos, Very, Richer Sounds, and Harrods. That cost puts them up against tough competition, including Sony's WH-1000XM6, the Sonos Ace, Bose QuietComfort and Bowers & Wilkins' Px7 S3. A full review will follow soon.
