I was fortunate enough to purchase a Nintendo Switch 2 on its release day, and it has quickly become one of my favorite acquisitions. Without diving into a full review, I can say it delivers the definitive Switch experience, and I am excited about its future potential.
Protection for the Console
However, I have yet to buy a carrying case to protect my console and store games when I travel. Many options are available, including the official Nintendo Switch 2 case sold at various retailers. But a specific drawback prevented me from buying it.
The official case includes only six slots for Switch or Switch 2 cartridges. This was a dealbreaker for me because I own more than six games I want to carry. Priced at £20.99, I knew alternatives existed, especially since I had a great case for my original Switch.
The Orzly Alternative
Having used the Orzly Nintendo Switch case before, their Switch 2 version is my next purchase. It offers robust protection and 20 game card slots, accommodating many cartridges. At £29.99 on Amazon, it costs just £10 more than the official case but holds over three times as many games.
I previously bought an Orzly case for my original Switch and was impressed. The Switch 2 version is sturdy and has survived major drops without scratches. It comes in various colors and has excellent reviews on Amazon.

While the Orzly is pricier than some alternatives—like the official Nintendo case at £21 or the £10 Nacon case from Argos—I believe it offers the best value. That is why I am choosing it, and I recommend you do too.
