Newcastle Transfer News: Tonali, Smit, and More

Newcastle United know they need a productive summer after what turned out to be a disappointing transfer window 12 months ago. The recruitment team continue to work hard diligently behind the scenes to find and sign the players Eddie Howe needs to have a real go again at the Premier League.

Current Squad Changes

So far there has been one new addition to Eddie Howe's squad, goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen. Newcastle sold Anthony Gordon to Barcelona, and have been linked with a series of replacements, but missed out on Victor Munoz who agreed to join Liverpool instead.

Ross Wilson and the data and scouting staff have dusted themselves down and have scoured European and South American markets in a bid to find Gordon's replacement, with a host of wide attackers on the radar. Wilson, however, also has his hands full with the continued speculation over the future of several first-team stars, with Sandro Tonali, Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento linked with moves away.
