Motorola has announced the Motorola Edge 70 Max, a new Android smartphone featuring a 7,100mAh silicon-carbon battery and 90W TurboPower charging, capabilities that current Samsung Galaxy flagships cannot match.
Battery and charging lead the pack
The Edge 70 Max uses silicon-carbon technology, which packs more energy than traditional lithium-ion cells without adding thickness or weight. When the battery runs low, 90W TurboPower charging provides enough power for a day after just six minutes plugged in, according to Motorola. Samsung's current phones top out at 60W wired charging.
DXOMARK has awarded the Edge 70 Max its Gold Label for battery life and charging.
Flagship specs and camera system
The phone features a 6.82-inch Quad HD+ (2K) display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, and a vapour chamber cooling system. The camera system includes a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a dedicated macro lens.
Additional highlights include an aircraft-grade aluminium frame, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, water resistance, and finishes in Pantone Aqua Gray, Pantone Dark Shadow, and Pantone Ice Melt.
