The summer transfer window officially opens on Monday, but clubs are not hanging around as they press ahead with plans for the new campaign. Record Sport's transfer guru Scott Burns has his finger on the pulse with the latest from up and down the Scottish pyramid.
Bojan Miovski's Uncertain Future at Rangers
Rangers striker Bojan Miovski has interest in Spain and Central Europe. The North Macedonian international has several summer options. He is waiting to see what happens at Ibrox before he decides to advance any of them. If he were to leave Govan, it would likely be a loan with an option-to-buy. Miovski previously had an unsuccessful stint in La Liga with Girona before he moved to the Light Blues last year. The 26-year-old's Rangers future is now very uncertain. He has fallen behind Youssef Chermiti and Ryan Naderi. That situation, however, could change if boss Danny Rohl were to leave for Red Bull Salzburg. If not, then Miovski will look elsewhere to get more game time.
Luke Graham Attracts Interest from FC Charlotte and Rangers
FC Charlotte have expressed an interest in Dundee defender Luke Graham. The Major League Soccer side held initial discussions over a possible summer bid. They were keen on a move for the in-demand central defender, who recently trained with the Scotland squad ahead of the World Cup. Charlotte was prepared to make a significant seven-figure offer and offer decent terms, but it was not a deal that the player wanted to pursue at this time. Rangers have been working on a move behind the scenes and will table a proposal. Graham also has a string of English Championship and European clubs. The 22-year-old saw a £1.5m bid from Portsmouth turned down in January. Pompey are still at the table along with the likes of Stoke City and Lincoln City.
Bert Esselink Could Return to Poland
Miedź Legnica want to land Dundee United's Bert Esselink. The Polish Second Division side have targeted the Dutchman. Boss Janusz Niedzwiedz has worked with Esselink before at Stal Mielec. The 26-year-old moved from the Polish side to United last summer. Esselink has been in and out of the team. Miedź Legnica would offer regular first-team action. United are unlikely to stand in Esselink's way if he were to decide he wants to return to Poland.
Partick Thistle Eye Seb Drozd
Partick Thistle are considering a move for Seb Drozd. The winger's contract at Queen's Park is up. The Spiders are still trying to get the 23-year-old to sign a new deal. Drozd scored Queen's Park's famous Scottish Cup winner against Rangers a couple of years ago. Rivals Thistle are also interested and could tempt him to make the move to Firhill. He moved from Millwall to Queen's Park back in 2024.
Declan Gallagher Considers Options
Declan Gallagher is considering options in the Scottish Championship and in Ireland. The former Scotland international is a free agent after leaving Ross County. The 35-year-old has to decide whether to remain in Scotland or head across the water. Gallagher has a wealth of experience from his time with Aberdeen, Dundee United, St Mirren and Motherwell.
Airdrie Interested in Aaron Darge
Airdrie are interested in Cove Rangers' Aaron Darge. The 23-year-old is out of contract at the Balmoral Stadium. The Diamonds want him to make the switch to their League One rivals. Cove are entitled to compensation and that could be a potential stumbling block. Darge had previously come through the ranks at Hearts.
Hamilton Line Up Taylor Sutherland
Taylor Sutherland is the latest signing that Hamilton have got lined up. Accies have agreed a deal to sign the striker. The 20-year-old is a free agent after leaving Montrose. Sutherland signed a short-term deal with the Gable Endies to get back playing in January. He had previously been at Dunfermline and was looking to return to full-time football. Accies boss Darian MacKinnon has agreed a deal with Sutherland. He just needs his club to get their signing embargo lifted. Accies officials are confident that will happen before the close of the window. They have already lined up deals for Andy Ryan, Cameron Blues and Fergus Owens.
