Mario Kart World 1.7.0: New Routes, Stickers, and £45.80 Deal

Nintendo has released version 1.7.0 for Mario Kart World on Nintendo Switch 2, introducing two new Knockout Tour routes—Drill Rally and Boomerang Rally—alongside new Photo Mode stickers and numerous gameplay adjustments. The update is free for existing players, while new customers can purchase the game for as low as £45.80 through a TopCashback deal, down from the standard £61.

New Knockout Tour Routes

Players who have cleared at least one Knockout Tour rally can now access the new routes. Boomerang Rally connects Salty Salty Speedway and Whistletop Summit, while Drill Rally links Wario Shipyard and Bowser's Castle. Nintendo has confirmed that additional Knockout Tour routes are planned for future updates.

Photo Mode Stickers and Other Enhancements

Version 1.7.0 adds stickers to Photo Mode, accessible via touch or mouse controls, allowing players to customize their screenshots. Gameplay tweaks include the ability to hop immediately after being hit by Kamek's magic or Bullet Bill, adjusted conditions for Jump Boost on water, and a new ramp added to the race from Airship Fortress to Bowser's Castle. Acceleration for low-acceleration characters and vehicles has been raised, and gliding speed for high-speed characters has increased. Players can now see the Super Horn held by rivals, and the dash time after landing on rivals is longer. Item acquisition rates from item boxes have been adjusted, and slipstream can now be stopped by braking before it starts. Thai language support has also been added.

Numerous issues have been resolved: fixed gliding speed slowdown after crashing, incorrect Time Trial times, getting stuck at Shy Guy Bazaar shop poles, crashing when hitting sent Goombas or Para-Biddybuds, falling through walls in Bowser's Castle, Dry Bones falling through ground at Dry Bones Burnout, Spiny Shell breaking on gold blocks or broadcast vans, Bob-omb throwing distance inconsistency on certain bikes, falling off shortcuts from Koopa Troopa Beach to Dino Dino Jungle, double coin loss east of Peach Stadium, getting caught on electronic signs in Dandelion Depths, falling from rails during Jump Boost from Cheep Cheep Falls to Dandelion Depths, and various course-edge falls. Issues with Bullet Bill, Feather usage in Dandelion Depths, parasol jumping near Salty Salty Speedway, and helicopter access in Online and Wireless Play have also been fixed.
