Liverpool should be on high alert as reports suggest Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola has been made available for transfer. The 23-year-old, a reported top target for the Reds, has two years left on his contract, but stalled renewal talks have led PSG to consider selling him.
Barcola's Situation at PSG
Barcola made 49 appearances for the Ligue 1 champions this season but often found himself behind Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on the left wing. Despite manager Luis Enrique's desire to keep him, PSG are reportedly open to offers as they want fully committed players.
According to L'Equipe via Get French Football News, negotiations with Barcola's representatives have made no progress, even after resuming following PSG's Champions League campaign. As a result, the club is no longer opposed to selling the winger this summer.
Liverpool's Interest
Liverpool have been linked with Barcola since last summer, when they considered him as a replacement for Luis Diaz. Instead, they opted to give minutes to teenage prospect Rio Ngumoha, who impressed but played limited minutes. With Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo underperforming, and Federico Chiesa likely to leave, new head coach Andoni Iraola is expected to overhaul the attack.
The Reds have also made contact with RB Leipzig for Yan Diomande, a 19-year-old winger valued at around €130m (£112m). PSG are also interested in Diomande, which may have prompted Barcola's availability.
What This Means for Liverpool
Barcola remains one of the most exciting options on the market to strengthen Liverpool's wide areas. PSG signed him from Lyon for €45m (£39m) three years ago and are likely to seek a significant fee. Liverpool will monitor developments closely as they plan their summer business.
