Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany has described reported Manchester United transfer target Johan Manzambi as a 'top talent', with the 20-year-old Switzerland international impressing at the World Cup.
Manzambi's World Cup Form
Manzambi has scored three goals in the group stage of the tournament, including a strike in Switzerland's 2-1 win over co-hosts Canada. His performances have attracted attention from several clubs, with United reportedly valuing him at around £43 million according to his current club Freiburg.
Kompany's Praise
Speaking in April, Kompany said: 'People always thought that England had snapped up a lot of quality from Germany. But what's happening in Germany now? You've got players like Yuito Suzuki, Johan Manzambi or Bilal El Khannouss on the pitch. There's a new generation of top talent emerging in Germany.'
United's Summer Plans
United have agreed a deal to sign Ederson from Atalanta for an initial £35 million plus £3.8 million in add-ons, but are yet to make their first official summer signing. Manzambi, who scored seven goals and provided nine assists in 47 appearances for Freiburg last season, remains a potential target.
