Big Decision Justified
Born in Enfield, Gabriel appeared destined for Arsenal or Tottenham, but United's scouting network successfully lured him from London. His father, former Republic of Ireland international Joe O'Cearuill, has expressed immense pride in the decision to relocate to Manchester in 2022. In a since-deleted post on X, he wrote: 'I remember in London when JJ was eight years old. They used to say he [was] just a YouTuber and will never make it, just a showboat, he will be done at 11 years old. So glad we moved to Manchester. The club showed him love and let him grow into himself, not a robot.'
Rashford Prediction
Marcus Rashford, now at Barcelona, has tipped his hat to Gabriel this season. After winning La Liga, Rashford replied to Gabriel's congratulatory comment with 'Next up,' acknowledging his potential to follow the same path from Carrington's academy to the first team. First Team Future
