Jet2 has announced a major update to its mobile app, giving customers increased access to flight times, flight status, and coach transfers. The airline and package holiday provider aims to make holidays “simpler, smoother and more convenient” with the new features.
New App Features
As part of the update, passengers will be able to view live flight times, flight status, and updates from 72 hours before their departure. This expands on the 'Live Transfer Status' function launched last year, which made Jet2 the first UK tour operator to enable customers to track their coach transfer to the departure airport in real time.
The live transfer feature was initially available for passengers flying from the Balearics, Canaries, Mainland Spain, Morocco, Turkey, and Bulgaria. It will now expand to Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Faro, and Madeira this summer. Passengers can also view details about how and when they can meet their Jet2 in-resort customer helper.
Impact on Customer Experience
The updated features come into force today, giving passengers access to “accurate and timely information” about their flight. The developments are the result of Jet2’s ongoing focus on reviewing and evolving its digital offering based on customer preferences, particularly around simplicity, ease, speed, reliability, and award-winning customer service.

Background
Last year, Jet2 launched the pioneering 'Live Transfer Status' app function, which reduced call volumes by giving customers real-time tracking of their coach transfers. The latest update builds on that success, extending the window for live flight information to 72 hours before departure.
