Jet2 has introduced a new '72-hour' update just in time for the summer holidays, enabling passengers to view live flight times, check flight status, and receive updates up to 72 hours before departure. The feature, launched this week, aims to provide precise and timely information to smooth the travel journey.
New App Features Enhance Customer Experience
The update to Jet2's app also allows passengers to access details about meeting their in-resort Customer Helper, including times, locations, and the helper's name. This makes it easier for holidaymakers to get support and information about their trip. According to David Hills, Chief Customer Officer at Jet2, “We are always looking at how we can continually improve the experience for our customers and digital innovation is a critical part of that. We are very pleased to be launching this new app functionality, which makes travelling with Jet2 even easier and more convenient.”
Summer Travel Convenience
The update arrives ahead of one of the busiest travel periods, aiming to make travel more convenient by putting important flight information at passengers' fingertips. Last year, Jet2 launched its 'Live Transfer Status' feature, which allows customers to track coach transfers to departure airports in real time. This service covers the Balearics, Canaries, Mainland Spain, Morocco, Turkey, and Bulgaria, and will expand to Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Faro, and Madeira this summer.
Additional Passenger Guidance
Jet2 also advises passengers to check flight information at least 12 hours before departure. The airline recommends arriving at the airport at least 2 hours before scheduled departure, noting that check-in desks close 40 minutes before departure. In case of disruption, dedicated Operations teams work to minimize delays.
