Apple's iPhone 17 Pro Max has been reduced by £100 at Very, dropping from £1,199 to £1,099 ahead of the tech giant's expected iPhone 18 unveiling. The discount applies to the 256GB model, which is available in Cosmic Orange, Deep Blue and Silver.
Pro Max features and specifications
The iPhone 17 Pro Max is powered by Apple's A19 Pro chip, which the company says runs around 50% faster than the iPhone 15 Pro. It features a 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR display with scratch-resistant Ceramic Shield on the front and back, and a tough aluminium frame.
The camera system has been upgraded with three 48MP lenses, capable of capturing high-resolution photos and 4K video with up to eight times optical zoom. The battery offers up to 37 hours of video playback, and fast-charging support can charge the device to 50% in 20 minutes.

Sky Mobile is also cutting prices, offering the iPhone 17 Pro Max with an unlimited data SIM for £53.75 per month, down from £64.75, though this requires a 36-month handset contract and 12-month data plan. Mobiles.co.uk is offering the Pro Max for £44.99 per month on iD Mobile's 200GB data tariff, with a £79.99 upfront cost, reducible to £59.99 with the code IDPAYDAY20.
Technology Editor David Snelling gave the iPhone 17 Pro Max a five-star review at launch, calling it 'the ultimate iPhone'. He said: "The new iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max pack quite a punch. They finally look different, get improved processing, longer battery life and will keep cooler under pressure."
He added: "Just remember that these are now more expensive and the cheaper iPhone 17 has had a major upgrade this year. There's no question that 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max are the ultimate iPhones, just be prepared to pay a premium to have one in your pocket."
