The devices will run iOS 27, which was previewed earlier this week and includes new Apple Intelligence features and AI-powered photo editing tools. A variable aperture camera system is rumoured for the Pro models, offering improved depth of field and low-light performance.
Apple may shift its launch strategy, dedicating the September event solely to the iPhone 18 Pro models and a foldable iPhone, with the regular iPhone 18 delayed until spring 2027. This follows claims from analyst Mark Gurman that Apple will move away from annual September launches to spread revenue and reduce strain on teams and suppliers.
