Inside Emirates' new £10m Manchester Airport lounge

Emirates has opened its new £10 million lounge at Manchester Airport's Terminal 2, offering an exclusive space for passengers to relax before their flight. The lounge is the first of the airline's UK lounges to feature the 'signature lounge concept', which is being introduced at cities worldwide this year.

The concept aims to "raise the bar for premium airport lounges" and includes more than 50 design enhancements and luxury touches. The space features dedicated zones for relaxation, work, socialising and dining, catering for every passenger's need.

Location and access

The new lounge replaces Emirates' former lounge in the old Terminal 1 building, which has closed as part of the airport's £1.5 billion transformation plan. The lounge is located around halfway down a pier next to the C Gates, offering direct gate access so passengers do not have to leave once inside.

The lounge is exclusive to Emirates passengers. First Class and Business Class customers, as well as Emirates Skywards Platinum and Gold members (regardless of class), receive complimentary access. Gold members can bring one complimentary guest (adult or child), while Platinum members can bring one adult and two children (under 17 years).

Dining and amenities

The lounge features a dining area with a large buffet and 'open kitchen', offering a range of hot and cold dishes, including a carvery with roast lamb or beef, fish and chips, and pies. There is also a bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including Moët & Chandon, and baristas preparing fresh coffee.

Each table has a wireless charging pad and USB-C charge point. The lounge also includes relaxed seating areas, pod-like chairs with footrests by floor-to-ceiling windows, business meeting areas, and male and female shower facilities.

Cost for other passengers

All other Emirates passengers will need to pay for lounge access, which is $155 (£117) for non-members and $125 (£95) for Emirates Skywards members, exclusive of taxes.
