Emirates Plans First-Class Suites with En-Suite Bathrooms by 2026
Emirates to Add En-Suite Bathrooms in First-Class

Emirates has unveiled ambitious plans to become the first airline to introduce private en-suite bathrooms within its first-class suites. Airline president Tim Clark confirmed that work is underway to fit these facilities, with the goal of offering them to every first-class passenger.

Current First-Class Amenities

Emirates' current first-class cabins on Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft already provide a range of premium amenities, including fine dining, an onboard shower spa, and a lounge bar. The addition of en-suite bathrooms represents a significant upgrade in luxury and privacy for passengers.

Competition in the Skies

Meanwhile, Air New Zealand is launching an innovative 'Skynest' system, offering bunk beds for economy passengers on long-haul flights. Bookings for the Skynest will open in May for travel from November, debuting on ultra-long-haul routes such as New York to Auckland. This move highlights the growing trend of airlines enhancing passenger comfort across all classes.
