Christos Tzolis May Join Arsenal After Man Utd U-Turn
Christos Tzolis to Arsenal? £34.5m Deal Explored

Christos Tzolis could be set for a stunning U-turn by joining Arsenal this summer, despite previously expressing a strong desire to play for Manchester United.

Arsenal's Interest in Tzolis

According to The Athletic, Arsenal are exploring a deal for the Club Brugge winger as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his attacking options ahead of the new season. The report suggests that any move for Tzolis would cost around €40 million (£34.5 million), but it would not affect Arsenal's pursuit of Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers or other targets across the forward line.

Tzolis' Impressive Season

The Greece international, who faced Arsenal in the Champions League this season, has had a fine individual campaign, scoring 22 goals in 52 appearances for Brugge in all competitions. His form has attracted attention not only from Arsenal but also from Premier League rivals Manchester United and Crystal Palace.

Previous Comments on Manchester United

Earlier in the season, Tzolis ruled out a move to Conference League winners and issued a come-and-get-me-plea to Manchester United. In an interview with Belgian outlet Het Nieuwsblad, the 24-year-old said: "United could convince me. Such a massive club with so much history. It would be hard to say no to that. It would have to be a Champions League team from England, Germany, Spain, or Italy. Only PSG is a better option than those clubs."

Arsenal's Advantage

Tzolis' previous admission is hardly ideal for Arsenal, but with Patrick Dorgu expected to continue in a more advanced role next season, United's need for a left-winger is less pressing than Arsenal's. Moreover, since Tzolis is open to joining a Champions League team from England, Arsenal fits the bill, suggesting a deal could be completed.
