Cadbury is launching a new resealable version of its iconic Dairy Milk chocolate bar, targeting on-the-go consumers. The Grab & Go range, arriving in major supermarkets from July, features 56g bars in three popular varieties: Dairy Milk, Dairy Milk Marvellous Creations, and Dairy Milk Chopped Fruit & Nut. Each bar will retail for £1.29.
Convenience Meets Consumer Trends
The launch reflects growing demand for snack-sized products, as more consumers opt for smaller portions between meals rather than traditional eating patterns. Phoebe Morris, junior brand manager at Mondelez International, said: “Shoppers are looking for options that fit seamlessly into their routines, creating a strong opportunity for formats that deliver convenience without compromising on taste. Our Grab & Go bars bring the trusted Cadbury Dairy Milk taste into a format designed specifically for these high-frequency snacking moments.”
The new range will sit alongside existing Duo bars and is not intended to replace them.
Limited-Edition Strawberries & Creme Frappe Bar
Earlier this month, Cadbury also rolled out a limited-edition Dairy Milk Strawberries & Creme Frappe bar, inspired by chilled drinks and the UK's love of strawberries and cream ahead of the Wimbledon Championships. Best enjoyed straight from the fridge, the chocolate combines Cadbury Dairy Milk with a creamy filling.
99 Flake Investigation
These launches come days after Cadbury launched an investigation into discoloured 99 Flakes following complaints from ice cream van owners. They reported a white tinge on the flaky chocolate sticks making them unsellable. Problems stem from wholesalers storing Flakes incorrectly during the recent UK heatwave, according to reports.
