The Spring/Summer 2026 season has already made history with 15 creative director debuts across major fashion capitals. As the fashion calendar comes alive, accessories take centre stage with a mix of nostalgia and innovation.
Maximalists will rejoice at the return of Y2K styling, with studded handbags at Acne Studios and butterfly-adorned stilettos at Blumarine. Burberry channels nostalgic British festival style with mini dresses, boots, and paisley-printed handbags.
Bold costume jewellery is a key trend, with colourful beads and freshwater pearls seen at Chanel, Celine, and Anna Sui. Roxanne First, founder of Roxanne First, notes: 'These materials offer a way to introduce joy and personality into fine jewellery. Beads are no longer childlike or casual; they’re paired with diamonds, sapphires, and 14k gold.'
Brooches are back, from Tory Burch's minimalist versions to Chanel's XL silk chrysanthemum-inspired designs. The 'attenzione pickpocket' trend, inspired by TikTok, sees oversized handbags with open closures at Dior, Fendi, and Loewe. Bow-accented shoes and reimagined drawstring bags round out the season's must-have accessories.
