Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Plus Drops to £25 in Early Prime Day Deal
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Plus Reduced to £25

Amazon has reduced the price of its popular home media player, the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus, to its lowest level of the year. The better-than-half-price offer gives the biggest price reduction the device has seen in 2026, as part of an early Prime Day discount.

Price and Savings

Usually priced at £59.99, the limited-time reduction brings the streaming stick down to £24.99, saving shoppers around £35. The 4K Plus Fire TV Stick is among Amazon's most advanced options, sitting just below the 4K Max version, which is currently £69.99.

Features and Performance

The 4K Plus Stick plugs directly into a TV and connects to the internet via Wi-Fi, transforming any ordinary TV into a smart TV with a straightforward, responsive interface. It allows users to stream thousands of films and TV episodes from platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+, as well as access major gaming titles like Forza Motorsport, Starfield, and Palworld via cloud streaming (separate monthly subscription fees may apply).

The 4K Plus model delivers advanced streaming with vibrant 4K Ultra HD picture quality. Amazon said: "Elevate your entertainment with the next generation of our best-selling 4K stick, with improved streaming performance." It comes bundled with a remote control featuring built-in Alexa voice command functionality. Those with smart home devices can manage their lights and view security cameras directly through their TV screen.

Alternatives and Customer Reviews

Shoppers could also consider the Roku Express 4K Media Player (£40, Asda) or the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K (£54.99, Amazon) for similar access to smart TV apps. However, thousands of Amazon customers have praised the 4K Plus Fire TV Stick. One said: "The Amazon 4K Fire Stick is great and does exactly what it should. It was easy to set up and connected to the WiFi quickly with no issues."

Another wrote: "I recently upgraded from my old Amazon Fire Stick 4K to the new Fire Stick 4K Plus, and I'm really impressed with the upgrade. The picture quality is excellent, and the image clarity is brilliant. Everything looks much sharper, smoother, and more vibrant when streaming movies and TV shows. The device is much faster and more responsive than my previous Fire Stick."

A third customer said: "I can't believe how easy it is – I switched from Sky to Freesat, trying desperately to save some money, but really missed being able to use some of the apps that I used to use on Sky. I had no idea that using a fire stick would completely solve that problem."

Not everybody was won over, however. One dissatisfied customer claimed: "Loses connection for no apparent reason - regularly. It isn't my wifi hub, as everything else appears fine." Another reviewer said: "Feels like a downgrade. The apps freeze very frequently and need to be restarted."

However, not all feedback was negative. Another customer shared: "I specifically chose this model as it's compatible with the Xbox app and I wanted to play Xbox cloud games on it, and for this purpose it works really well. It also has access to Luna games, which I have always played flawlessly for me - obviously, this depends on a good wifi connection."
