Wyvestows Bar & Bistro in Westoe, South Shields, has announced it is closing with immediate effect. The decision was shared on the venue's Facebook page on Wednesday afternoon by owners Kerry and Paul Brown.
Owners cite family and business reasons
The post began: "It is with a very heavy heart that we announce that Wyvestows Bar & Bistro will be closing its doors. This has been an incredibly difficult decision, and one that has not been taken lightly. After many months of careful consideration, we have made the decision to close for the good of our family and our business."
Thank you to customers and staff
Kerry and Paul continued: "We would like to say a sincere thank you to every customer who has supported Wyvestows over the years. Whether you visited us for lunch, dinner, cocktails, Sunday lunch, afternoon tea, celebrations, weddings, baby showers, funerals or our live music events, we are truly grateful for your support."
They also paid tribute to their staff, adding: "Your hard work, commitment and dedication have all contributed to what Wyvestows has been."
