A woman has discovered what she describes as 'the cheapest' charity shop she has ever visited, located on the outskirts of Manchester, where most items cost just 50p each.
Becky Chorlton, 28, from Cheshire, has built a business reselling items she finds in charity shops and car boot sales on Vinted, earning her hundreds of thousands of pounds. She regularly shares her finds on social media, where her followers enjoy watching her hunt for bargains.
A 'proper old school' charity shop
Visiting the Beehive Community Centre in Mosley Common, Tyldesley, just north-west of Manchester, Becky was impressed by the low prices and the range of items on offer. "This is not a drill because I genuinely think I've found the cheapest charity shop in the whole entire world," she said at the start of a video. "And if you don't believe me, almost everything is 50p each."
She described the shop as "a proper old school charity shop," adding: "It's organised chaos in the best way possible, and you'll really have to rummage to find the best stuff."
Free items and extra bargains
Outside the store, there were boxes of free items, as well as food and pastries available in exchange for a donation. Becky also noted that all children's clothes were priced at about 5p per item.
"It didn't stop there, though, because there's an outhouse with Christmas stuff in, and a short walk away, there's a garage where they keep all the furniture," she revealed.
A £100 find for 50p
During her visit, Becky purchased several items, including a pair of jeans she said were "apparently worth £100." In a separate post, she identified them as Evisu brand jeans, which typically sell for up to £300 per pair, but she paid just 50p for hers.
Commenters on her posts were quick to praise the shop. One person wrote: "Now this is how a charity shop should be run!!!!" Another said: "This is what it should be everywhere charity shops are so expensive in London its a joke." Even locals were surprised, with one commenting: "2 mins from my house and I never knew!!"
