Little Sprout, a café in Heswall, has temporarily closed its doors, with owners unsure when it will reopen. The venue, located within the Premier Plants garden centre, announced the closure on social media, thanking customers for their support and promising updates when more information becomes available.
Sister site to Sprout Kitchen Garden
Little Sprout is the sister site to Sprout Kitchen Garden, which operates inside the Premier Plants of Ledsham garden centre near Ellesmere Port. Little Sprout opened in 2024, expanding on the businesses' popular brunch and sweet treat offerings.
Closure for improvements
In a statement, Little Sprout said the closure would allow the business to return in "a much better position to serve you all." The statement explained: "We’ve made the difficult decision to temporarily close Little Sprout whilst we carry out some improvements to ensure the future of the business and the experience we provide."
It added: "The good news is that when we reopen, Little Sprout will be in a much better position to serve you all. Our aim is to create a smoother, more efficient experience, allowing us to keep up with the incredible support you’ve shown us and continue serving more of you, more effectively."
No confirmed reopening date
While no reopening date has been confirmed, the café promised: "we don't know when we will be back [...] but we will be back!" In the meantime, customers are invited to visit Sprout Kitchen Garden in Ledsham for their favourite dishes, sweet treats, and speciality coffee.
The statement concluded with gratitude: "Finally, thank you. Every person who’s visited Little Sprout, recommended us, queued patiently, grabbed a coffee or supported us since day one has helped make the site what it is today. We genuinely can’t wait to welcome you back through our doors!"
