Whataburger is celebrating its 75th anniversary by offering customers a 75-cent burger deal for one day only. The Texas-based fast food chain announced that the promotion is available on Friday, August 8, exclusively for rewards members through the chain's app or website from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time.
Each rewards member can purchase one 75-cent burger, with additional toppings available at an extra cost. The deal is part of a broader celebration that includes a special event in Corpus Christi, Texas, where the first Whataburger was located.
The celebration will take place at Whataburger Field, featuring a minor league baseball game between the Corpus Christi Hooks and the Tulsa Drillers at 7:05 p.m., followed by a fireworks display. Attendees can also receive merchandise and food coupons through giveaways, including a limited-edition Whataguy mask for the first 1,500 fans and a signature Whataguy cape for the first 5,000. Every guest will receive a coupon for a free Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit.
In addition to the anniversary promotion, Whataburger is releasing a new collection of commemorative cups. The collection launched on Tuesday with a 32-ounce anniversary table tent design cup, available on the Whataburger website and in select locations. A new silver-striped cup will launch on August 12, followed by an A-frame tribute cup on August 19.
