Vinted seller's bingo card trick to make £424 in 30 days

A Vinted seller has shared how she plans to make £424 in 30 days by turning her savings goal into a 'bingo card' challenge. Lauren, who is trying to save £10,000 by selling items she no longer needs, created a grid with 30 squares, each featuring a different amount of money she aims to earn in a single day.

How the Vinted bingo challenge works

Lauren explained that the amounts on the bingo card can be ticked off in any order. She must make the specified amount of money on a given day, then a different amount on another day, until every square on the grid is completed. Some days, her goal is to earn £30, while smaller targets like £3 and £6 appear on the grid too, so not every day is high-pressure.

"Basically, every day on there, I'm gonna try and make enough money to meet one of the numbers on the grid. I can do it in any order, and once I've completed every square, it amounts to £424," she explained.

Selling Lush products to declutter

Lauren, who described herself as a former "huge Lush collector," decided to stop the habit because products expire and become harder to sell. "I used to be a big over-consumer in general. I basically loved anything beauty-related. But then I decided that it was just too much, and over the past year, I've been trying to declutter a lot of my collection," she said.

She showed off some of the Lush products she wants to sell, including a large Snow Fairy shower gel, a Dirty body spray, and a Lord of Misrule gift set, which she suggested could be ideal for Halloween gifting.

What commenters said

People in the comments noted that her collection was one of the "biggest" they had seen and wondered how she had acquired so many Lush products. Others questioned whether the items were expired and whether they could still be used.

According to Redditors on the Lush Cosmetics forum, many non-fresh Lush products can be used past their expiration date if they still look, smell, and feel normal, though fresh items like face masks must be discarded. Soaps and shower gels often last long past their printed date, though users should check for a normal smell and shake bottles well. Bath bombs and bath bars are generally safe, though they may lose scent or fizz over time, and bubble bars with mould should be thrown away. Oily or creamy items, including massage bars, should be discarded promptly as they can go rancid and irritate the skin.
