Nöa & Nani, a UK budget furniture brand stocked by major retailers, has entered administration. Administrators were appointed for Jadebay Limited, which trades under the Nöa & Nani name, on Thursday, September 3, according to a notice published on The Gazette.
Company status and background
Both Jadebay Limited and Nöa & Nani are currently listed as “active” businesses on Companies House. Jadebay Limited was incorporated in November 2000, nearly 26 years ago, while the Nöa & Nani brand was launched in 2013. The brand is named after the founders’ childhood nicknames.
According to the Nöa & Nani website, the company was established after its founders were unable to find “affordable” and “design-led kids' furniture” for their own children. The site states: “Inspired by the visions for our own children, we designed a range of cool, contemporary and quirky beds which won awards.”
Brand history and retail presence
The website adds: “The success of our children’s bed designs inspired us to experiment with other furniture. Eventually, we branched out to create beautiful, affordable and design-led furniture for all the family.” It also says: “Motivated by our own family’s needs and desires, Nöa & Nani understands how to create a chic, cosy and contemporary home.”
The Kent-based brand operates as a direct-to-consumer website and is also sold online through retailers including Argos, B&Q and Debenhams. The brand is currently running a summer clearance sale, with savings of up to 80%.
