Trader Joe's has announced the release of six new summer-themed mini insulated tote bags, set to arrive in stores nationwide on May 20. The retailer confirmed the launch to The Independent on Thursday, with each bag priced at $3.99.
The Summer Fun Mini Insulated Totes have a capacity of one and a half gallons, feature a zipper top and two reinforced handles. Two bags come in striped designs—one in red and pink, another in blue and green. The remaining four totes, available in orange, blue, green or purple, showcase a silhouette of a Trader Joe's store flanked by palm trees.
A Trader Joe's spokesperson noted that customers have found the bags useful for carrying lunches to school or work, but warned that supplies are limited. The mini totes have previously caused frenzy among fans, with earlier insulated versions selling out quickly in 2024 and being resold on eBay for nearly $50 per set.
The chain's mini canvas tote bags, launched in 2024 and again in pastel shades in March 2025, also sparked long queues and social media trends. Meanwhile, Trader Joe's continues to expand, with plans to open new stores across 12 states and having already opened two locations in 2026.
