Award-winning ice cream parlour Subzero opens fourth store in Bridgend
Subzero announces new Bridgend ice cream parlour

Subzero, the family-run ice cream company that has been making award-winning ice cream in south Wales for decades, has announced it will open its fourth and largest parlour in Bridgend. The new store joins existing locations in Williamstown (Rhondda), Trethomas (near Caerphilly), and Newport.

New location and expansion

The Bridgend parlour will offer the same well-loved ice cream and desserts but on a bigger scale. The company said it will be a "whole lot bigger" than its previous stores. The opening date and exact address have not yet been confirmed.

Subzero currently produces more than 60 flavours of ice cream at its factory in the Rhondda. The business has been making ice cream in the area since the 1950s, originally under the name Mr Creemy before rebranding to Subzero in 2009 after a food giant trademarked the original name.

The same fantastic ice cream. The same incredible desserts. The same Subzero you know and love…just a whole lot BIGGER! Our newest location is… BRIDGEND!"

The company added: "This is a huge milestone for us and we can’t wait to welcome you through the doors. Keep your eyes peeled for updates, sneak peeks, and most importantly… our official opening date! Bridgend… are you ready?"

Menu and history

The first Subzero ice cream parlour opened in Williamstown, next to the factory, in 2016. In addition to dozens of flavours of award-winning ice cream, the parlours serve waffles, crepes, and the company’s famous ice cream cakes.
