For those living in small properties where a full-size dishwasher doesn't fit, this space-saving solution has become popular. Measuring just 26cm across, the Capsule Dishwasher is claimed by Scottish tech company Loch Electronics to be the slimmest on the market. It features a built-in carry handle, allowing it to be stored in a cupboard between uses.
The appliance washes at temperatures up to 75°C to shift grease and eliminate germs, then dries dishes in as little as 15 minutes. It can handle up to 25 items per cycle, including frying pans and plates up to 31cm. An optional Dual Tray accessory (£15.99) increases capacity to 35 items.
Easy Setup and Versatile Use
Setting up the dishwasher is simple, with a clean water tank and direct connection to the tap, draining into the sink. The Capsule also doubles as a fruit and vegetable washer and includes a UVC light compartment to sanitise utensils, baby bottles, and other items without chemicals.
Loch notes the stainless-steel internal tube improves hygiene and energy efficiency compared to plastic. For a more affordable, no-plumbing option, the Capsule Solo is on sale at £279.99 (down from £349.99), though it lacks UVC technology.
