Sorella Sorella, the popular Italian restaurant in Gateshead, has opened a new pasta bar inside the Fenwick department store in Newcastle city centre. The new venture is located in the store's Food Hall and has already generated significant excitement.
A new home for a neighbourhood favourite
Founded by sisters Roya and Rosa in 2012, Sorella Sorella has built a loyal following for its Italian-inspired cooking, quality ingredients and warm, welcoming hospitality. The Fenwick opening marks an exciting next chapter for the family-run business, expanding its offering while staying true to the food and experience that have made it a neighbourhood favourite.
The pasta bar will serve a menu of freshly made pasta, Italian antipasti, salads and desserts, with dishes available to enjoy in the Food Hall or take away. Signature favourites include the much-loved Pappardelle Ricce with Lamb Ragù, alongside new additions such as Fettuccine with pecorino, artichokes, lemon and black pepper.
Menu highlights and hospitality group expansion
The menu also features a selection of Italian cheeses and cured meats, fresh salads and indulgent desserts, including Amarena Cherry Tiramisu. It offers a taste of Italy for everything from a quick lunch to a more leisurely stop while shopping.
The Fenwick opening is the latest addition to the family's hospitality group, which also includes The Owl & Otter Gastropub in Burnopfield and Sale Pepe Italian Restaurant in Shotley Bridge.
