A three-month assessment of the Simba Hybrid Pro mattress has found it to be highly comfortable, with the reviewer initially describing it as the best they had ever tested, although it was later surpassed by another model. The premium bed-in-a-box mattress is priced at £959.20 for a double and sits in the middle of Simba's Hybrid range.
The Hybrid Pro combines pocket springs with layers of memory foam, including up to 4,800 individually wrapped springs in a king-size version, plus a layer of micro springs for added bounce. Other components include graphite-infused foam for airflow, a natural wool top layer, and a washable fabric cover. It has a depth of 28cm and weighs around 40kg for a double.
In firmness tests, the mattress was rated as medium firm, sinking 29mm under a 7.5kg weight – placing it between the firmest and softest mattresses the reviewer had previously tested. Its motion isolation was described as outstanding, making it a particularly suitable choice for couples.
The mattress comes with a 200-night trial and a 10-year guarantee. It requires monthly rotation during the first three months, but does not need flipping. Delivery is via a third-party courier, and the reviewer recommends asking for help carrying the heavy box upstairs.
Sustainability credentials include B Corp certification, a net-zero target for 2030, and CertiPUR-approved foam. An old mattress recycling service is available for £50.
