Sidemen's Sides Fried Chicken Opens in Liverpool on June 30
Sidemen's Sides Opens Liverpool Restaurant June 30

The Sidemen have confirmed the opening date for their first Liverpool Sides fried chicken restaurant, set for Tuesday, June 30 at Gravity MAX Liverpool. The announcement follows plans to expand the chain with 15 new restaurants across the UK in 2026.

What to Expect at the New Sides Location

The restaurant will be located inside Gravity MAX Liverpool, an entertainment venue featuring electric go-karts, augmented reality bowling, digital darts, street golf, virtual reality experiences and arcade games. The venue already houses food brands including Wendy's, Benni's Pizza Joint, Jones Burgers and Birdies.

Sides managing director Aaron Moore-Saxton said the expansion reflects the company's ambition to accelerate growth throughout 2026. He added that strong demand in the UK and overseas has given the business confidence to open new sites in Glasgow, Wales and Liverpool, while also expanding into India, Malaysia and the UAE.

The Sidemen's Growing Brand

The YouTube group behind the brand includes KSI, Wroetoshaw, Miniminter, Vikkstar123, Zerkaa, Behzinga and TBJZL, who collectively have 22 million subscribers. KSI has since announced his exit from the group. The brand launched in 2021 in partnership with Scottish franchise company Hero Brands. Since then, Sides has grown to five UK restaurants in Essex, Manchester, London, Kent and Birmingham, as well as opening its first overseas location in Singapore.

Ethan Payne revealed the Liverpool location on Instagram, telling fans: "Gravity Max. Liverpool. We're coming. Delectable, lovely chicken from The Sides," before jokingly adding in a Scouse accent, "We're coming lads."

Massive Queues Expected

When the Sides shop opened in Manchester, hundreds of fans were waiting outside. Similar scenes are anticipated in Liverpool. The ECHO will bring an exclusive first look inside the restaurant next week.

In a joint statement, the Sidemen said they are excited to bring Sides to more customers as the brand continues to grow. They added that their focus remains on bold flavours, great food and creating memorable experiences, describing the latest expansion as "just the start."
