Global beauty retailer Sephora has announced the opening dates for its first two stores in Scotland, with locations in Edinburgh and Glasgow set to welcome customers in summer 2026.
The Edinburgh store at St James Quarter will open on Thursday 9 July, while the Glasgow store at Silverburn Shopping Centre will follow on Thursday 13 August. Sephora described its UK store openings as “iconic, community-driven moments” featuring entertainment, queue experiences and food offerings.
Sephora UK managing director Sarah Boyd said: “This summer marks a major milestone in Sephora UK’s journey as we continue to bring our unique beauty experience to more communities across the country. We’re incredibly excited to be opening our first stores in Scotland, giving beauty lovers access to some of the world’s most sought-after brands and exclusive products for the very first time.”
The stores will offer brands including rhode, Haus Labs and Makeup by Mario for the first time on Scottish soil, along with Sephora UK exclusives. They will also be among the first to introduce the brand’s beauty scan technology, which enables personalised product recommendations.
Sephora, founded in Limoges, France in 1969, now operates more than 3,200 physical stores globally. St James Quarter estate director Anne Ledgerwood called the opening a “landmark moment” for Edinburgh, while Silverburn centre manager Diarmuid Donohoe said it was “a really exciting moment for beauty lovers in Glasgow and the west of Scotland”.
