The popular school uniform sale at Rebuild With Hope in Wigan returns this week, offering every item for just £2. The sale includes trousers, skirts, pinafores, summer dresses, and polo shirts, aiming to support families struggling with the cost of living crisis.
Sale details and timing
The sale launches on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 10am to 4pm at the Rebuild With Hope store in the Grand Arcade Shopping Centre, Wigan. It will continue on Saturday during the same hours. Throughout the summer, the sale will be open Thursdays and Fridays from 10:30am to 2:30pm and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.
Charity's mission and inspiration
Louise Atherton, chief executive and founder of Rebuild With Hope, said the initiative was inspired by the charity's work in disadvantaged communities where 'people can't afford the basics any more'. She noted that the charity receives many donated school uniforms, but families preferred to buy items rather than accept them for free, leading to the £2 sale.
What shoppers need to know
Rebuild With Hope shared on social media: "If you’re planning to stock up, please bring your own shopping bags, especially larger bags, as many people buy multiple items." They added: "Miss the launch? Don’t worry! Our School Uniform Sale will continue with regular opening times."
Store background
The store, located next to the Rebuild with Hope Community Hub, offers high street brands like M&S, Ted Baker, Skechers, and Seasalt Cornwall with discounts up to 70%. All products in the main store are new, some seconds, while the Community Hub charity shop sells preloved items and hosts a Book Cycle, a Cycle Project, and a Repair and Revive clothing repair service.
