Sainsbury's Tu clothing range has caused a stir on social media, with shoppers racing to stores to get their hands on the supermarket's colourful and cosy pyjama sets. The nightwear, which went viral on TikTok earlier this year, features bold patterns including stripes, spots, florals, and even dog prints.
Fashion writer Eve Rowlands visited her local Sainsbury's to see what the fuss was about and was impressed by the quality and design. 'The PJ sets weren't plain or a bit meh, as some supermarket PJs can be,' she said. 'They were covered in eye-catching designs with bright pops of colour.'
Rowlands tried on several sets, including the Abstract Bright Stripe Traditional Pyjamas at £20, made from soft, lightweight viscose. She described them as 'floaty and effortlessly glide over your body.' Other popular designs include the Lilac Floral Traditional Pyjamas (£20) and the Green Tropical Leaf jersey set (£11 for the top, £7 for the bottoms).
Despite limited stock in some stores, the range remains highly sought after. Rowlands noted that some designs were unavailable in her size due to high demand. The pyjamas are priced between £18 and £22, offering what she called 'pretty luxurious' quality for the price.
